Stakelum Consultancy was founded to bring together our expertise in transaction management with our passion for climate change and renewable energy. We provide strategic guidance to clients in the onshore wind, offshore wind, solar, waste to energy and contracting sectors in Ireland. Our team supports clients through every stage of due diligence, bid management, financial modelling, and M&A advisory, helping them navigate the commercial complexities of renewable energy project development.

With a track record of supporting over 400 MW of client projects, we pride ourselves on offering clear, concise, and results-driven advice in the renewables sector.

Additionally, we offer comprehensive educational services tailored to solicitors, contractors, and other professionals. Our in-depth seminars, CPD courses, and Lunch & Learn sessions provide valuable insights into the Irish renewables market, its trends, financial landscape, legal aspects, and effective business development strategies, helping professionals stay informed in the renewable energy sector.

Our Story

Stakelum Consultancy was founded by Laura Stakelum in 2021, and is based in Cashel, Co Tipperary. The company was founded with a dual-purpose dream – to provide a smart, solutions focused renewables advisory service that would help clients work towards their commercial goals and help Ireland work towards its climate change targets.

Today, we are a team of four, and we count offshore wind, onshore wind, waste to energy and solar developers as clients. We have an efficient, nimble and responsive team who integrate with client teams to deliver clear and concise advice on transactions, financing and strategic direction of renewable energy asset portfolios and businesses.

Founder, Stakelum Consultancy

Laura Stakelum, BSc Acc, ACA, AITI

Laura has over 14 years of experience, providing board support and commercial finance advice to renewable energy projects, including wind and solar farms. Her expertise includes business plan creation, strategic analysis, feasibility studies, and due diligence. Previously, she held key roles at Grant Thornton, Gaelectric, and KPMG, raising approximately €750m in debt and equity finance over the past 5 years. She is also a sought-after speaker at industry events.

Corporate Finance Manager

Shannon Molloy, ACA

Shannon has 8 years’ experience in financial modelling, analysis, and strategic business reviews across the renewable energy and property sectors. She develops flexible models for planning, investment, development, and M&A. Her expertise spans financial analysis, project evaluation, due diligence, market insights, and business planning - delivering robust strategic reviews with scenario analysis to support key decisions.

Teena Choudhary, BEng., MBA, PMP, APM, SCM, CSO

Teena brings 14 years’ diverse experience and a unique mix of technical know-how, strategic leadership, and a passion for empowering teams. She’s worked with Oracle, QQI Ireland, Irish Wireless, and Kirby Group Engineering. Her expertise lies in crafting impactful training strategies, data analysis and process improvements that enhance team skills, streamline operations, and deliver tangible, lasting results through a people-first approach.

Finance Director

Robert Stakelum

Robert Stakelum has over 45 years’ experience in senior management in the beverage sector across finance, technology and new system installation. He has led teams across customer service, finance, IT, procurement and brings a deep level of business management experience to Stakelum Consultancy. Robert manages our finance function, ensuring that automated payroll, accounts, budgeting, taxes and billing processes are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
